Kimi Davidson

Coach Kimi is in her 1st year with the Nadadores as the 13/14 Silver Lead Coach. She was previously the Head Coach of Swim Torrance for 2 years and the Head Age Group Coach for 3 years. Prior to that, she was the 10&U and 13-14 Division Lead at SwimMAC Carolina in Charlotte, NC for 3 years and the Head Age Group Coach and Senior Assistant Coach at South Carolina Swim Club in Charleston, SC for 3 years.

Within USA Swimming, Coach Kimi has served on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, was a SCS DEI Committee member, was the Pacific Committee DEI Chair, was a 3x attendee of the National Diversity Select Camp as an assistant coach and manager, was an assistant coach at the Southern Zone Select Camp, and coached on the South Carolina Zone Team and their Select Camp. She has attended the Women in Coaching Clinic, the ASCA World Clinic, USA Swimming's Women's Leadership Clinic, was featured in two Wednesday Webinars through USA Swimming, was was selected to attend the Ethnic and Minority Women in Coaching Leadership Conference, and was nominated for South Carolina Swimming’s Age-Group Coach of the Year.

As a swimmer, she lettered all four years at The University of Akron, where she graduated with a B.A. in Communications and a M.A. in Sports Science and Coaching. While completing her degrees, she was a 5th-year assistant coach to the University's team, head coach of the intramural club team (Akron Swim Club), an age-group assistant at Firestone Akron Swim Team, an assistant coach at the University at Buffalo Swim Camp, and an assistant coach at The University of Akron Swim Camp.

From novice to Olympic Trial finalists, Coach Kimi’s experience has allowed her to work with swimmers of all levels. Throughout her career, Coach Kimi has found that great technique, committment, and enjoying practices aid in developing character traits which will last a lifetime. When not at the pool, she enjoys traveling, being organized, reading, playing Animal Crossing, and watching Disney+ and Netflix.
