Coach Ryan

Coach Ryan started swimming when he was 6. He joined Rose Bowl in 2007, and found a passion and love for the sport under the guidance of Coach Jeff Julian and Coach Kristine Julian. In 2013, Ryan was selected to represent his home country, Myanmar, at the 27th South East Asian Games. He went on to record multiple national records in the 400 Free, 200 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 IM and 400 IM.

Driven by an unwavering dedication for the sport and appreciation for the process, Ryan naturally gravitated towards coaching. His earliest experiences came from leading swim summer camps at Rose Bowl.

In 2021, he started as the Bronze Age Group coach at Max Aquatics. And ran the elite group at Lifetime Athletics in Virginia as the Assistant Head Coach. These chapters paved the way for his subsequent transition to the prestigious Nadadores. Coach Ryan remains dedicated to nurturing and shaping the future of swimming and continuing and advancing Mission Viejo's legacy of excellence.

"Coaching is an extremely rewarding process for me. I think back to the amazing coaches I had as a swimmer myself and seek to carry on what they taught me to the next generation."

In his free time, Ryan enjoys playing volleyball and is an avid cat lover.
